An Encounter
We pass countless strangers every day—faces we barely notice before they slip back into the movement of the world. But behind each glance, each fleeting moment, is a life as complex and full as our own.

'Phototes Stories' is an ongoing street photography project that captures these everyday moments—simple, raw, and real. Each selected capture is printed onto a tote bag, transforming an ordinary object into a reflection of the human experience we all share.

A face, a gesture, a fragment of someone’s story. These bags ask us to pause and consider—what unseen weight does this person carry? What emotions linger beneath the surface? In a world that often feels rushed and distant, Phototes invites us to hold space for each other, to recognise the quiet dignity of passing strangers, and maybe even to carry more than just our own stories.
This project is more than just a conversation. I hope that those who take home a tote will share a photo of themselves carrying it, adding their own story to this evolving exchange. Every returned photo, becomes a thread in the larger tapestry of connection.

The photos in this project were taken in public spaces as part of a personal exploration of street life. They are never meant to exploit—only to reflect a shared human moment. If anyone featured feels uncomfortable, I am open to removing the image.

As Photototes continues to grow, each bag becomes more than something to carry. It becomes a reminder that we are all connected, that every face tells a story, and that sometimes, simply noticing each other is enough to make the world feel a little less lonely.
